Scholarly Pursuits has developed Collegiate Partners as an exciting initiative designed to further enhance the Papa Johns Scholars Program.  Colleges and universities are invited to participate in Collegiate Partners by providing matching or supplementary scholarships to students chosen as Papa John’s Scholars.  Collegiate Partners is a substantial benefit because it provides additional academic funding, making a higher education more accessible for many students.  Scholarships awarded through Collegiate Partners significantly multiply the positive effect of the Papa Johns Scholars program. In order to establish relationships with the colleges and universities in your area, it is important that you follow a step-by-step process as follows:

• Develop a list of accredited post-secondary schools in your area
• Find the name, address & phone number of a contact person in each school who handles scholarship coordination
• Mail or fax the list of schools you have compiled to Scholarly Pursuits
• Scholarly Pursuits sends an informational brochure about Collegiate Partners to each person on your list and notifies you when this is completed
• After schools have had time to review the brochures, Scholarly Pursuits staff makes follow-up phone calls to each contact person

A few things to consider about Collegiate Partners:

• Collegiate Partners provides a service to the school.  It is a way for them to attract quality students and to receive advertising by partnering with Papa Johns Pizza.
• You may want to consider inviting a couple of your contacts to be a part of the selection committee.  This allows them to become familiar with Papa
• Johns Scholars and to fully realize the benefit of Collegiate Partners.
• This initiative can be successful with very little effort on your part and is a great way to increase exposure of Papa Johns Pizza in your area.
